Dakshina (Donations)
The practice of dakshina (Sanskrit: gurudakshina) is an important way to support Hohm Sahaj Mandir and its sanctuary, Triveni Ashram. Traditionally, gurudakshina (in Eastern culture) or the practice of tithing (in Western culture) is a tangible form of reciprocity between individual and spiritual tradition. The gift of giving ten percent of one’s income to benefit the sanctuary, church, monastery or ashram of one’s faith is a universal means of maintaining a reciprocal relationship with the Divine.
All donations to Hohm Sahaj Mandir are tax deductable (for amounts of $75/year or more) and a contribution statement will be mailed to you early in the year for the past year’s total contributions. Your gift of generosity in any amount is deeply appreciated.
To set up a monthly payment for dakshina by credit card or check please contact the Hohm Sahaj Mandir accounting office.
