Dawn & Dusk: An Online Writing Intensive

Dawn & Dusk: An Online Writing Intensive
October 24, 25 & 26, 2025

Dawn and dusk are the rhythms of our human lives, connecting earth and sky, planet and cosmos. The beauty and symbolic power of these liminal times fill us with wonder and awe, inspiring poets and mystics across the ages to greet “the in between” as the most powerful time to contemplate, pray, and write. Embracing this potent metaphor—the promise of dawn even in the dusk of day’s end—offers a rich and urgent portal for our writing.

What is dawning in my life … and what holds back the dawn?

What hovers at the threshold of dusk ... and what resists the growing dark?

With the companionship of writing coaches Mary Angelon Young and Regina Sara Ryan, join a community of fellow travelers on Zoom to explore the current moment of our lives.

Friday 10 am - 12 pm Arizona time
Saturday 7 am – 2 pm
Sunday 7 am – 1 pm

From dawn to dusk I sit before my door....
There comes the morning with the golden basket in her hand,
bearing the wreath of beauty to silently crown the earth.
And there comes the evening, over the lonely meadows,
through the trackless paths...

From Gitanjali, “Thou Art the Sky”
